Welcome to FABULOUS, 231 Bay Walk, Fire Island Pines!

Peacefully ensconced amid mature gardens and the Great South Bay, this architecturally significant, Bayfront summer playground offers a Pines experience second to none. This home, only a 5 minute walk from town, exudes the true essence of the Pines, seamlessly bringing the inside out and outside in. Its gracious layout serves both form and function, inspiring peaceful moments, playful living, and the occasional grand soiree!

FABULOUS is a single story, 5 bedroom, Bayfront Estate. There are 4 suites in the main house and one stand-alone studio cabana. The home features fine cedar walls inside and out, with abundant windows facing the courtyard, pool deck, and bay. Upon entering you are captivated by the direct view into the courtyard where there is a large hot tub, lush greenery, a small pond, and ample seating and entertaining options. Sashay down the windowed hallway, or through the courtyard to the magnificent living room featuring a gas fireplace and cozy, if not a bit campy seating. This is a great place to keep an eye on the house, or snuggle up to read a book. Past the living room is the open-concept chef’s kitchen and dining area with comfortable seating for 14 and stunning bay views. Easily pass through any of these rooms via numerous sliding doors to the pool deck with fabulous teak seating, loungers, and unrivaled views of sunsets on the Great South Bay. Nestled around the east side of the living room you will find a secluded outdoor shower and private sauna! Additional amenities include a large bbq grill, complimentary laundry machines, some workout equipment, ample towels, fine linens, serene gardens, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

This home was commissioned by the pioneers of the gay phonesex industry and was not built with privacy in mind. The suites feature “Jack & Jill” style, shared bathrooms. The Master and the Fishbowl Suites each have their own private sink and toilet area. They share a large double shower with a skylight. The Center and Curve Suites have a shared bath with one shower, sink, and toilet. There is an additional half bath near the front door, and an outdoor shower. The Butt Hutt has a sink in the room, but no other ensuite amenities.

This listing is only for 1 bedroom/ suite, The Center Suite.

The Center Suite is positioned just past the front door of the main house. It sports a King sized platform bed and windows facing West. There are blinds for added privacy, if you’re into that sort of thing, and a desk for those unavoidable zoom calls. This room has ample built-in closets and drawer storage. There is a semi-private sink, toilet, and shower that are shared with the Curve Suite. The bedroom door to the bathroom locks and there is also a door to the outside from the bathroom. This room has a built-in AC unit for those sweaty nights! This room can be locked from the outside for privacy. Pricing is based on up to two guests. There is a maximum of 3 occupants allowed in this room for an additional fee.

Guests have access to all shared/ common areas of the house.

When renting only a room or two in the house it is most likely Jeffrey and/or Travles will be residing in the Master Suite. We encourage friendly interactions and often have friends popping by to take a dip in the pool or join in a dinner party. If not, we are always available by phone or txt. We also have a trusted network of friends nearby that can jump in to help if a problem arises.

We are pet friendly here, however your pets must be pre-approved, be potty-trained, and be non-aggressive towards unfamiliar people or other animals. We trust you to self-certify this, however if noise, nuisance, health or safety issues arise due to your pet you will be asked to leave and will forfeit the balance of your reservation. Pets must be included on your reservation and their respective fees paid in advance. If you are allergic to or uncomfortable with dogs around I would not recommend you booking your stay with us.

There may be upwards of 10+ people sharing this house at any given time so please be mindful of the food you bring out. Generally it’s best to bring a few things you love and then buy the rest as-needed from the Pantry. Coffee is provided free of charge. Sharing of condiments is encouraged, but if you want Surf & Turf you better bring your own!

Please note this is an adults-only, clothing-optional property. This property is not suitable for minors. There is an abundance of artwork and ephemera depicting nudity and/ or of a graphic nature.

We may host special events during your rental. Typically these are in the form of art shows, fund raisers, and afternoon tea-dances. You will be informed if an event is scheduled prior to your booking. If an event is scheduled after you've booked your stay we will do our best to inform you. Scheduling of events after your booking does not affect our standard cancellation policies. Guests are entitled to VIP access for any events at the property during their stay.

As guests, you may not plan or host events without express permission from the owner. Filming content of any kind is prohibited without express permission from the owner.

We kindly ask that you refrain from raiding our vegetable garden. Sure, go grab a tomato or two, but don’t go whipping up a chef’s salad sourced primarily from our garden.

We are located on a sandbar, facing the bay. Bedrooms are air conditioned, however common spaces are not. Doors are often left open to take advantage of the fabulous breeze off the bay.

Those with sensitivity to humidity, allergies, sunlight, insects, and other native critters should consider booking elsewhere. We live on a sandbar after all, not a hermetically sealed laboratory. Expect to experience nature.
